Math Targets: Students should be able to:

Write numbers 1-50 correctly.

Read numbers 1-50.
-
Count objects, tell how many, then write corresponding number 1-20.

Can tell “one more” and “one less” than a given number.

Can FLUENTLY tell several ways to “make 5!”
-
Can add (using manipulatives or not) up to 10.
-
Can subtract (using manipulatives or not) within 10.

Can tell about tools used and how to measure things.
Language Arts/Reading Targets: Students should be able to:

Identify all letters of the alphabet.
-
Tell the sound that each letter makes.
-
Stretch CVC, short vowel words, Such as; hat, bat, fun, beg, hot, kid, etc….AND in most instances FLUENTLY read these words without having to “stretch” them.

Stretch CCVC and CVCC words such as; crab, flat, mask

Read the Star words; I, like, to, see, can, a, you, it, we, my, the, and, is, go, five, orange, purple, are, am, two, three, said, one, in, has, with, play, school, on, yes, look, went, of, up, get, he, she, boy, girl, have, will, his, that, snow, Christmas, on, they, all, this, come, me, best, am, be, animal, because, did, day, brother, sister, friend, looked, once, was, do, what, some

Use star words and stretching to write 3-5 sentences on a given topic (and stick to the topic) NEATLY AND WITH FINGER-SPACING.

Tell who the character is in a story.

Tell main events in a story to retell a story.
Science/Social Studies Targets: Students should be able to:
1. Tell about clouds and how they form.
