HCHS Special Education Dept.

“Simply put, the HCHS Special Education Department loves kids.  The relationships they build with students, parents, and community members to ensure success is unparalleled.  The Spec Ed Department has embraced their new teachers and gone above and beyond to help them understand how valued our students are.  They have adopted the co-teaching strategies asked of them and have been able to collaborate outside of their department and grow in their knowledge of content and other perspectives.  All of this has been for the benefit of every student.  They seek new ways to modify when needed and set accommodations that are best practice for teachers and students.  I am very proud of this department and applaud them for taking on the monumental tasks of loving every student.”--Ginger Estes
