The window for applicants to become the next superintendent of Hancock County Public Schools is open and will remain so until April 8th. At its March 8 meeting, the Board of Education established a working timeline that includes dates for establishing the screening committee, potential dates for interviews, and a flexible target to complete the process and name the new leader by June 1.
Formation of the screening committee, consisting of 1 board member, 2 teachers, 1 classified employee, 1 principal, and 1 parent, is underway with screening work beginning in April. The Board looks to hold finalist interviews in May.
In partnership with Kentucky School Boards Association, Hancock County Schools will be accepting applications for the superintendent position until April 8, 2021.
