"Mr. Jack Jones is a welcome addition every morning and afternoon at NHE.  He goes way beyond the call of duty by helping with our elementary traffic every morning and every afternoon.  He is an active member of our community who sacrifices his time to help our students and families have the safest possible start and end to each and every school day. His pride in our schools is deeply appreciated by school staff and parents.  A huge thank you to Mr. Jones!"--Gina Biever

Laura Kessans

"Laura Kessans has the heart of a servant.   She gives so much of herself and her family to help our children have better lives and make our community a better place at Hancock County Middle and Hancock County High School.   She is always there to help no matter the problem; whether it is to provide basic services to some of our neediest students through the Youth Services Center or a shoulder to cry on when they’re dealing with overwhelming emotions.  She works year-round to keep in touch with children in our community by being involved with local camps, summer events, teaching exercise classes, the Back to School Bash, Girl Scouts and the After-school Culinary Arts Club, just to name a few.  Our schools and community are truly blessed to have such a special person."--Anonymous

Candace Kruse

"Have you ever met someone who always goes above and beyond their job description?  Candace Kruse is one of those people who is always pushing others to be the best they can be and helping them along the way with each step they take.  This past month she took 40 students to a FBLA regional competition and pushed those students to perform at the best of their ability.  Before the competition she was meeting before and after school with students to help prepare them for that day as well as setting up practice presentations with various people in the community and school during the school day.  Competition day arrived and the students performed amazing and brought home a record number of trophies.  Now she is busy fundraising and continuing to prepare for the FBLA state competition in hopes that the students have more success at the next level.  Candace is an exemplary teacher who is here to see the students of HCHS be successful now and in the future."--Lori Beth Roberts
