         Josh Smith

“Mr. Smith is one of the most dedicated teachers to his students, school and the community.  One might determine success by the number of awards a teacher wins, but Mr. Smith's success is evident in the number of awards his students win.  His students win awards locally, state-wide and nationally.  Furthermore, he has inspired four young adults to pursue degrees in Agriculture.  Mr. Smith spends countless hours outside of the school day at FFA events with his students.  He also spends time during the summer with these students.  Mr. Smith is also active in the community as a member of the Fair board.  I nominate Josh Smith for the Butterfly Effect award.”—Christina Hawkins

Lori Huff “Lori has went well beyond her obligations as a substitute.  Before the start of my maternity leave she observed my classes and became familiar with my content to ensure our 7th grade students continued our lessons as planned.  Her commitment allowed me to remain worry free about work and spend valuable time with my son.  Our students are truly blessed to have someone that is dedicated to all the needs of our students.  She cares about our students’ education as well as their well-being.  It would be safe to say we would be lost without having Lori here at middle school this year.”—Laura Hagedorn
