Aimee Estes helps make every day at Hancock County High School a positive and energetic one. Her kindness to every person, energy, enthusiasm, but most importantly, her love and dedication for our kids set her apart. Her daily task is not easy; as the high school's credit recovery coordinator, Ms. Estes takes on students who are struggling so much in the classroom that they must try to quickly recover a failing grade, or students who struggle with motivation and must earn a credit through alternate means during the junior or senior year. Her patience and love for kids help make our students successful every day. In addition to her role as an instructional assistant, Ms. Estes fills in for office staff as needed, helps with college and career readiness testing, coaches our cheerleaders, organizes and co-sponsors our pep club, and this year volunteered to be our prom coordinator. She does all of this with a smile, and even when she is juggling three or four of her different roles; she takes the time to ask others what she can do to help them with consideration and sincerity. Ms. Estes embodies the qualities we strive for and envision for everyone in our school - she models incredible work ethic, and she loves our students, and we are proud to have her as a Hornet.
