In May 2004 the Dataseam project started across Kentucky as a way to help the children of our state get up to date computers, provide never before available cancer research, and to provide training and technical help to teachers and support staff.
Hancock County has received over 700 high performing iMacs since we began participating in the program. Also during this time our technical staff have received over 26 Apple technical certifications. Teachers across the district have received professional development and two of the media specialist have emerged as trainers for other counties across the state. All this has allowed us to double or triple the amount of technology that is provided to the students and help to prepare them to become a valuable employee and leader for the state as they continue their education forward or the obtain jobs in the workforce.
