Board Member Allen Kennedy was recognized by the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) at the July 28, 2016 Hancock County Board of Education monthly meeting for his service on their Board.  Presenting the award was Jimmy Adams, Executive Director of EPSB.

The Education Professional Standards Board is responsible for issuing and renewing certificates for all Kentucky teachers and administrators.  EPSB Board Members, appointed by the Governor, consist of nine teachers, two school administrators, one representative of local school boards, three representatives of higher education, and two ex- officio members - the Commissioner of Education and the President of the Council on Postsecondary Education.
